Blandford is a Georgian Market Town located in the heart of Dorset. It is within easy reach of the resorts that line the southern Dorset coast. The Blandford Bowling Club is located on the town's recreational ground and is one of the many excellent local facilities supported by the Town Council. |

We take pride in being a friendly, active and well run Club that warmly welcomes visitors and new members. In particular we welcome touring teams. The Club has been established since 1930 although there is a Bowling Green shown on a map of 1732 that describes the extent of the Great Fire of Blandford. This Green was within 500 metres of our current Club. The Committee is ambitious and is always striving to improve facilities, playing conditions and social programmes. Recently, the spectator viewing area has been considerably enhanced with a large, raised decking area and the clubhouse veranda has been replaced. | |

The Mayor of Blandford, Councillor Esme Butler, bowls the first wood to herald the start of the 2011 season. This was followed by the traditional 'spider' which was won by Vicky Willis. |

Annual Dinner and Presentation of Prizes. Dorset Golf and Country Club. 12th October 2011 Club Singles Champions. Freda Yates and Barry Males were presented with their well deserved Trophies at the Annual Presentation Dinner. See more images at the Presentation 2011 tab. |

Our 2011 season has now come to an end so input to the web site will reduce considerably. 2011 proved to be our most successful year in recent years. Go to GALLERY 2 to see some of the Club's most recent achievements at all levels.
